World Cups are prestigious and globally followed competitions in the world table tennis calendar.

Men and Women Individual World Cups take place each year, with the World Team Cup held every two years, as players aim to make their own piece of table tennis history.

Individual events have 20 players including the World Champion, qualifiers from each of the Continental Cups, a host player, and a wildcard. 3 days of competition create magical moments.

A CSM / Kantar Sports sponsorship evaluation report for both Men’s and Women’s World Cups in 2016 confirmed:

  • 506 combined global broadcast hours
  • 2,321 combined sponsorship exposure hours
  • $22.3 million US Dollars total combined sponsorship media value

History was made in 2016 when the Seamaster ITTF Women’s World Cup took place in Philadelphia USA, and the Liebherr Men’s World Cup took place in Saarbrücken Germany.

In October 2017, we will see the Liebherr Men’s World Cup taking place in Liege Belgium, and the Uncle Pop Women’s World Cup in Markham Canada.

The World Team Cup will be in London England in February 2018.
