Meanwhile, for the Brazilians who selected from Tamyres Fukase, Livia Lima, Amy Sekimoto and Lais Mika Yuta; not one individual match was surrendered but against the no.4 seeds, Ecuador, there were difficult times. Tamyres Fukase was stretched to the very limit by Nathaly Paredes (11-8, 11-7, 10-12, 7-11, 12-10), similarly Amy Sekimoto endured nervous moments when facing Alejandra Veintimilla; success by the minimal two point margin was the eventual end result (6-11, 11-5, 4-11, 12-10, 11-9). Sandwiched in between, Livia Lima accounted for Mylena Plaza in straight games (11-6, 11-9, 11-5).
Similar to Paraguay, for the Ecuadorians it was runners up spot and a main draw place reserved; thus Chile, Brazil, Paraguay and Ecuador reserved places in the 2019 Pan American Junior Championships to be held in June in Cancun, Mexico.
Places in the penultimate round for the top four seeds, it was the same in the cadet girls’ team competition.
Brazil, the no.1 seeds with Giulia Takahashi, Fabiana Shintate and Laura Watanabe on duty, finished their group ahead of the no.4 seeds, the Chilean combination of Fernanda Araneda, Josefina Lara and Sofia Vega. Likewise, Peru, the no.2 seeds, fielding the combination of Ana Aragon, Lucciana Cisneros and Maria Maldonado concluded the day ahead of the Argentina, the no.3 seeds, who selected from Davina Ding, Maitena Mendez, Naomi Iasue Marino and Mauela Pereyra.
Second place for the Argentine outfit; it was very nearly top spot; they extended the Peruvians the full five match distance. The player to cause the problems was Divina Ding; she beat both Ana Aragon (11-2, 11-7, 11-5) and Maria Maldonado (9-11, 11-9, 11-9, 7-11, 11-7).
