A major industrial region, Valencia, the capital of Carabobo State was the home for an ITTF/PTT Level One Course some five months ago; organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme, proceedings commenced on Monday 20th November and concluded on Friday 24th November.

The expert on duty was Michel Garcia Brunicardi.

A total of 18 students attended; in addition to Carabobo, participants travelled from Anzoategui, Monagas, Bolivar and Sucre.

Locally matters were organised by Darwin Sanchez, the Director of the Foundation for the Development of Sport and by Mayelis Caripa from the National Olympic Committee, the Director responsible for the growth of sport throughout the country.

Mayelis Caripa addressed those present prior to the schedule commencing, words encouraging and motivating.

All responded enthusiastically to the efforts of Michel Garcia Brunicardi; an excellent environment was the result as course members responded with equal enthusiasm to the theory and practical sessions.

Notably present to add to the value of the course was Jean-Pierre Giroud alongside Juan Corrales, both are Para athletes; Michel Garcia Brunicardi greatly appreciated their attendance.
