Located on the west coast of Sweden, after Stockholm, the country’s second largest city; Gothenburg will be the home for what the organisers anticipate will be the biggest tournament for veteran players in the whole of northern Europe.

Staged in the Exercishusets Sportshall, the Idrottsföreningen Ifo will commence on Friday 3rd November and conclude on Sunday 5th November.

It is anticipated that team events will be played on the opening day of action followed on the second day with the commencement of individual competitions.

In the singles events matters will be organised in two stages, a group phase followed by knock-out rounds.

A busy schedule ahead with a wide range of events on offer; in the Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles and Men’s Doubles events seven age groups are planned:

  • 40 to 49 years (born 1968 to 1977)
  • 50 to 59 years (born 1958 to 1967)
  • 60 to 65 years (born 1953 to 1957)
  • 65 to 69 years (born1948 to 1952)
  • 70 to 74 years (born 1943 to 1947)
  • 75 to 79 years (born 1938 to 1942)
  • 80 years and over (born in 1937 or earlier)

Meanwhile, in the Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Team events two age groups are envisaged:

  • 40 to 59 years (born 1958 to 1977)
  • 60 years and over (born 1957 or earlier)

The closing date for entries is Sunday 22nd October.
