At the semi-final stage Guilherme Teodoro and Rafael Torino accounted for the Venezuelan partnership of Luis Vanegas and Alejandro Larez by three matches to one before overcoming the host nation pairing of Nicolas Burgos and Andres Martinez in a full distance final.
Nicolas Burgos beat both Guilherme Teodoro (11-7, 8-11, 12-10, 11-6) and Rafael Torino (11-9, 12-10, 11-7) but that was to prove the sum total of Chilean success. In the counterpart semi-final, Nicolas Burgos and Andres Martinez had recorded a three-one win in opposition to Peru’s Jhon Loli and Rodrigo Hidalgo.
Meanwhile, in the Girls’ Team event Beatriz Kimoto and Livia Lima turned the tables. The previous day in the group stage they had experienced as three one defeat at the hands of Chile’s Valentina Rios and Jerusalen Flores. One day later, in the title deciding contest they recorded a three – two win.
Once again as in the group phase, Valentina Rios recorded two wins; she beat Beatruiz Kimoto (11-9, 11-7, 11-3) and Livia Lima (11-6, 11-6, 13-11); the difference from the previous day was that in the final the Brazilians won the crucial doubles (11-6, 11-9, 11-8)
Earlier at the semi-final stage Valentina Rios and Jerusalen Flores had overcome Paraguay’s Karimi Apud and Leyla Gomez by three matches to nil; Beatriz Kimoto and Livia Lima had recorded a narrow three-two win in opposition to Colombia’s Manuela Echeverry and Juliana Rodriguez.
