“I feel that I don’t have to talk too much about it.” Liu Shiwen

Head coach of the women’s team, Kong Linghui, revealed the reason for such decision. It is because of the last-minute withdrawal of Liu Shiwen from the Seamaster 2016 Women’s World Cup.

Liu Shiwen has already accepted the decision despite her explanation. Therefore she obeys the call of the team and just tries to be a better athlete.

“As for me, I just have to obey since the team has already made a decision. I just have to make some reflection. As a professional athlete, I will play win the Super League and follow the call of the National Team”, Liu Shiwen

Currently, Liu Shiwen is playing in the 2016 Chinese Super League for the Anxin Team. In the latest round of the competition held this Wednesday 30th November, Liu Shiwen was defeated by Che Xiaoxi.

Liu Shiwen has a very wide fan base in China. Of course, they were worried after the news about her suspension was out. The World Team champion is very thankful for the continuous concern and support of all her fans.

“Two days after the news broke out, there were still a lot of people showing concern for me. I am very grateful to everyone.” Liu Shiwen

Despite not being able to compete internationally, Liu Shiwen stays positive in her career. She is focusing on the future and how she can get back on track once again. She assured everyone of her loyalty and passion towards the sport and the Chinese National Team.

“I hope to give more effort as to my future. I love the Chinese National Team. I love our unity. I will actively prepare.” Liu Shiwen
