Following the record-breaking success of Rome 2024, which welcomed nearly 10,000 table tennis enthusiasts and became the largest table tennis event ever staged, the ITTF World Masters Table Tennis Championships heads to the beautiful coastal city of Gangneung, South Korea in 2026. This prestigious tournament holds special significance as it takes place during the ITTF’s centenary year, marking 100 years since the organisation’s founding in 1926 – making it a truly historic celebration of our sport’s heritage.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the blue East Sea and the majestic Mt. Seorak, the championships will take place from June 5-12, 2026, at the Gangneung Olympic Park, utilizing the renowned Gangneung Arena and Gangneung Speed Skating Rink. Expected to attract over 4,000 participants from more than 100 countries and territories, the championships will feature five exciting events across various age categories starting from 40 years old.
