The competition schedule for table tennis at the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 (LA28) has officially been announced.

Table tennis events are set to take place over 15 days in Los Angeles, with play beginning on Saturday 15 July, one day after the opening ceremony, and ending on Saturday 29 July.

The sport will award a record number of Olympic medals as the LA28 table tennis programme expands to include Men’s and Women’s Singles, the return of Men’s and Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and — for the first time ever — the Mixed Team event. The competition will be staged at LA Convention Center Hall 3, one of the United States’ premier event venues.

The LA28 Games will mark Los Angeles’ third time hosting the Olympic Games, following the 1932 and 1984 editions. However, it will be the first time that table tennis features on the programme in the City of Angels, as the sport made its Olympic debut later — at Seoul 1988. Since then, table tennis has become a pillar of the Olympic Movement and now boasts the highest number of medal events among all racquet sports.
