The countdown to the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals Doha 2025 has reached fever pitch, with the spectacular nine-day celebration of table tennis set to captivate Qatar from 17-25 May.

With the official schedule for the opening two days now unveiled, table tennis enthusiasts worldwide can eagerly anticipate an exhilarating start to the tournament, featuring stellar matchups and global superstars that promise to deliver unforgettable sporting moments.

Day 1 commences with what could be an instant classic, as top-seeded duo Lin Shidong and Kuai Man face recently crowned WTT Feeder singles champions Liam Pitchford and Anna Hursey in a captivating Mixed Doubles encounter at 10:00 (GMT+3) on Saturday 17 May.

The star power continues throughout the opening day with singles appearances from global sensation Mima Ito, the formidable Lebrun brothers and the technically brilliant Chen Xingtong. 2023 silver medallist Wang Chuqin begins his championship campaign against Nandan Naresh in a prime-time clash at 19:10 (GMT+3).

Two-time World champions Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha set their sights on more World Championships success.
