Meet Ping Ping The Panda

As the clock ticks down, anticipation is building for the grand return of the ITTF World Cup in a month time!

From December 4 to 10, 2023, the global table tennis elite will converge at the iconic Sichuan Gymnasium in Chengdu, China—the very arena that witnessed the last ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cups in 2019. This time, a captivating twist awaits as the innovative mixed team format takes centre stage, championing gender equality and the spirit of collaboration in the world of table tennis.

Chengdu is buzzing with excitement as the city celebrates the one-month countdown to the ITTF Mixed Team World Cup 2023. Engaging activities are in full swing, marking the occasion. The event’s logo, unveiled recently, features a table tennis racket adorned with the jinsha (golden sun bird), a motif representing China’s rich cultural heritage, alongside a depiction of Chengdu’s historic Wuhou Temple.

Adding a touch of charm to the festivities, Chengdu proudly introduces “Ping Ping,” the official mascot of the ITTF Mixed Team World Cup 2023. Inspired by the giant panda, an iconic symbol of the Sichuan Province, Ping Ping will bring a sense of fun and friendliness to the event.

Get ready to meet Ping Ping and experience the warm hospitality of Chengdu during this monumental sporting celebration. The champions await their crowning moment in the inaugural ITTF Mixed Team World Cup.
