The face of table tennis in Mauritius; the contribution made to the sport by Allan Arnachellum cannot be underestimated.

A statement was released recently by Basanta Lala, the President of the Mauritius Table Tennis Association; explaining that Allan Arnachellum would work alongside Cédric Rouleau, the National Technical Director, in efforts to raise standards amongst young players.

“Following the meeting of the Mauritius Table Tennis Association, we took the decision to nominate you as the new national coach (boys and girls). You will be working together with Mr Cédric Rouleau, the National Technical Director. For more details, please note that you may report to Mr Desscann, the Technical Manager. Congratulations for this new challenge and we think that you have clearly the capacity to improve performances of our athletes.”

Understandably it was a delighted Allan Arnachellum.

“Being given this position now is a great achievement and indeed a huge responsibility but I believe that with the full collaboration, hard work of my team, continuous guidance and support of my technical manager and the national association, this task will be an easy one. I have identified the strengths of my team during the previous Indian Ocean Games and we will focus on that and work harder to achieve better results for future competitions.” Allan Arnachellum.
