Similarly, the no.2 seeds, the Chinese selection of Wu Yangchen, Yuan Yuan and Yang Yiyun opened their accounted by recording the same margin of victory in opposition to the Korea Republic’s Park Seongeun and Lee Sujeong.

One fixture completed, one win recorded; for the no.3 seeds, India’s Prapti Sen and Swastika Ghosh it was double the number. They recorded a 3-0 win in opposition to Chinese Taipei’s Chang Hua-Chu and Hsiao Yun-Lung, prior to posting the same victory margin when confronting Korea Republic’s Lee Gayeon and Jeoung Haeun.

A successful day for the hosts in the junior girls’ team event, it was the same in the cadet girls’ team competition. Chen Yi, Leng Yutong and Xu Yi secured first position in their initial phase group as did their colleagues Ding Zige, Chen Xinyang and Zhang Yunhan.

Likewise, Japan’s Miwa Harimoto and Rin Mende topped their group, as did Singapore’s Ser Lin Qian and Zhou Jingyi; meanwhile, not to be overshadowed it was first position for the Hong Kong combination of Chelsea Chan Shiu Lam, Kong Hoi Ching and Ma Yat Sum.
