In a country known globally for its athletics exploits, table tennis has started to find its feet.

In addition, reported by the Daily Nation, Francis Mutuku advised that training programmes may be organized both domestically and abroad.

“The Technical Committee will oversee, guide, direct and, in conjunction with the respective technical or national coaches, provide the best programmes to assist these athletes qualify.” Francis Mutuku

Support but stringent demands have been imposed.

“However, it should be noted that in case any of the eight athletes fail to qualify for the Olympics, the scholarships will be given to other needy cases if they arise.” Francis Mutuku.

Notably, Francis Mutuku explained that a strategic plan is now under a validation process to provide a long term radical and transformative approach to the Elite Athletes Performance Programme in Kenya.
