A key member of the Egyptian national team in recent years, a familiar face on the international scene, the entertaining style of play exerted by Mohamed El-Beiali has endeared him to fans across the globe.

The professional career started at home with the Cairo-based Al-Alhy club, before moving to Europe where he represented the Adana Club in Turkey; during the 2017-2018 season he plied his trade in Qatar having earlier competed for Diest in the Belgian League. Now he has returned to Turkey where he represents Fenerbache.

Notably since joining the Turkish club, Mohamed El-Beiali has remained unbeaten, the club currently at the top of the league. Certainly he is enjoying his time in Turkey but like other players from the continent, the main goal is the 2019 African Games scheduled to be staged in late August and early September in Morocco.

“I am enjoying every moment of my stay in Turkey with Fenerbache; at present we are topping the league and I am yet to drop a match this season. I hope to play for the team for the next two seasons with the aim of competing in the ETTU Champions League and also emerge as league winner.” Mohamed El-Beiali

The 30 year old is hoping to use his stay in Turkey to feature in several tournaments in Europe in order to be in top form for major continental tournaments as well as the Liebherr 2019 ITTF World Championships in Hungary.

“Not may believe that Turkish League is strong but in my own opinion it is stronger that Belgian League and very competitive.” Mohamed El-Beiali

Mohamed El-Beiali is hoping for the best for Egypt at the African Game with the belief that the North African can dominate again in Morocco this year. Notably at the 2015 African Games in Brazzaville, colleagues Omar Assar and Dina Meshref won the respective men’s singles and women’s singles events.
