Recently the destination for the All Japan National Championships and in 2001 the home for the World Championships; Osaka is now the destination for those who conduct such events.

In conjunction with the Japan Table Tennis Association, the city will host an International Referees School from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th August.

All national associations are invited to submit nominations for the four day course.

Candidates should be International Umpires with at least two years’ experience and have passed the Advanced Rules Examination at least three years ago. Additionally, proven refereeing experience in at least three national championships or two international events, at least one as a referee, is also a prerequisite.

Venue for the whole proceedings will be the Kanku Joytel Hotel; local transport will be provided from and to Kansai International Airport (IATA Code: KIK).

The course will be conducted in English.

Closing date for nominations is Sunday 31st March.
