A total of 10 boys and 10 girls from 12 nation associations attended, all having qualified by being being present at Regional Hopes Weeks and Challenges.

Proceedings concluded with a hard fought competition.

“The hall with 13 tables was always full. The Dominican Republic players were very motivated to practise with the Hopes players, so the young ones had always very strong practice partners. The table tennis hall in Santo Domingo is excellent and so we could practise a great deal and effectively. We all enjoyed the stay in the beach hotel, being able to see the beautiful sea from the dining room.” Eva Jeler

Thanks to the efforts of Eva Jeler, all the players improved.

“They really learned a lot; this could be seen also when they played the Challenge, the spectators enjoyed very interesting matches and some excellent rallies.” Eva Jeler
