They overcame, Margo Degraef and Lisa Lung, the no.8 seeds (8-11, 11-8, 11-5, 11-4).
Likewise, Karoline Mischek and Amelie Solja overcame Oceane Guisnel and Stéphanie Loeueillette, the no.6 seeds (11-6, 11-5, 13-11).
Otherwise, it was success for the leading pairings as quarter-final places were reserved.
Notably, Sweden’s Matilda Ekholm and Georgina Pota, the top seeds, beat China’s Gu Tingting and Ma Ruija (11-8, 11-4, 12-10); Luxembourg’s Sarah De Nutte and Ni Xia Lian, the no.2 seeds, overcame Pauline Chasselin and Marie Migot, like Laura Gasnier and Audrey Zarif from France (12-10, 11-5, 11-3).
