Located on the far east coast of Australia; not too far distant from Gold Coast the home of the recent Commonwealth Games, Brisbane will be the host later this year for an International Referees School organised by the ITTF Umpires and Referees Committee.,

Proceedings are set to commence at 10.00 am on Thursday 25th October 2018 and conclude at 3.00 pm on Sunday 28th October.

The venue will be Sports House Milton with accommodation provided at the Central Cosmo Apartments and Hotel; the cost for a single room is AU$160.00 per night, for a shared room AU$100 per night per person.

In addition to the accommodation, the price includes domestic transport including airport travel from and to Brisbane Airport plus lunch and light refreshments.

Cancellation is free prior to 14 days before arrival date.

A full four full days of education plus written examination and interview is included; the course will be conducted in English throughout.

In order to qualify to attend the school, a candidate must have been an International Umpire for at least two years and must have passed the ITTF Advanced Rules Examination within the previous three years

Alternatively, a qualified National Referee who has gained the award as the result of a programme conducted by a national association or has passed an ITTF National Referee course and examination and has been qualified for a minimum of two years may apply.

Equally, proven refereeing experience in three National Championships or two international events, at least one as referee will be considered.

All candidates must be competent in English and should be well versed with “ITTF Handbook for Referees” and “ITTF Rule Book”

Furthermore, in addition to hospitality costs, candidates must pay the course fee of €90.00; payment is on arrival.

Graeme Ireland and Chan Cheong Ki will be the experts on duty
