The two Chinese stars have been officially named on the ESPN World Fame 100, a list which determines the biggest names in sport.
Zhang Jike and Ma Long are joined in good company on the list which features Football superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi along with Basketball’s Lebron “The King” James, Tennis legend Roger Federer and many more sporting icons.
One of China’s biggest sporting celebrities and popular across the globe, Zhang Jike enters the list in 78th position with current Olympic and World champion Ma Long occupying 82nd in the table.
Whichever way you look at the history books Zhang Jike and Ma Long’s records are impressive: between the two of them they have picked up two Olympic singles gold medals, four World Championships titles and four World Cups as individuals not to mention the many awards they have scooped up on the ITTF World Tour.
