Celebrated in style, some 100 enthusiasts were present in Karanataka, India to celebrate World Table Tennis Day.

Organised by Dr.P.Krishnaiah, the Director of Physical Education Department of University of Mysore, alongsise Dr.B.R.Sainath Iyer, a Karnataka Veteran player, organized the Departmental Auditorium was the venue from from 5.30pm to 7.00 pm.

Mr.N.S.Singh, an former President and founder member of the Mysore District Table Tennis Association, was the guest of honour. A veteran player, recently he won gold in the 80 years class in Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Men’s Team at the National Championships.

Notably Dr.Sainath Iyer gave a talk on “ Why World Table Tennis Day?” and explained the International Table Tennis Federation’s concept for the day to popularize table tennis through the TT4ALL campaign.
Additionally he emphasized how sport for all and elite sport are strongly intertwined.

Videos were shown with a welcome cup of tea bringing the day to an end.
