Receiving a bye in the quarter-finals Chen Junjin went on to earn an impressive straight games win against top seed Shreya Shivakumar (11-7, 11-6, 11-2) to seal her place in the Cadet Girls’ Singles title match.

Victorious earlier in the week when she beat Lin Lequan to secure the Junior Girls’ Singles trophy, Chen Junjin once again saw off Chinese opposition in the Cadet Girls’ Singles final with Hu Yininghua losing out to her fellow compatriot across four games (12-10, 11-3, 5-1, 11-7).

The host nation’s very own Noura Roxane Banao also came away from the day’s action with something to celebrate, seeing off Sema Lago (11-3, 11-7, 11-3) in the Cadet Girls’ Singles Consolation final.

Chen Junjin and Lin Lequan excelled as a partnership for the second time this week as the Junior Girls’ Doubles champions also came out on top in the Cadet Girls’ Doubles tournament.

In the final the Chinese duo accounted for India’s Cathrintina Arokia Dass and Shreya Shivakumar (11-5, 11-5, 11-8).
