Always referred to by the acronym WADA, the World Anti-Doping Agency, advised all stakeholders on Wednesday 7th March that, with effect from Sunday 1st April, a new International Standard for Code Compliance by Signatories (ISCCS) will take effect.

In addition, a related limited number of revised World Anti-Doping Code (the Code), which the ISCCS necessitates, will also be realised.

The ISCC reinforces the WADA Code Compliance Monitoring programme, outlining:

• Code Signatories’ rights and responsibilities

• The ways WADA supports Signatories in achieving, maintaining and, where applicable, regaining Code compliance

• A process for determining non-compliance and a range of sanctions for cases of non-compliance by Signatories.
