The International Table Tennis Federation, in liaison with the Swedish Table Tennis Association, invites International Umpires to officiate at the forthcoming Liebherr 2018 World Championships.

Staged in Halmstad, play commences on Sunday 29th April and concludes on Sunday 6th May.

It is an open invitation. Therefore not all nominations may be accepted. Furthermore only nominations submitted by bona fide national associations will be considered.

Selection will be based on geographical boundaries with an approximate equal division between Blue Badge and Blue Badge in Progress Umpires.

National associations may submit a maximum of two nominations. In addition to International Umpires who have achieved Blue Badge status, umpires who have attended a certified ITTF Advanced Umpire Training course and have passed the Advanced Rules Examination will be considered.

If one of the umpires nominated is female, a national association may also nominate one extra umpire in the Blue Badge or Blue Badge in progress category; thus following the policy of encouraging female umpires

Full hospitality will be provided in a twin room from lunch on Saturday 28th April to breakfast on Monday 7th May. Each umpire will receive a daily allowance per competition day, according to ITTF regulations.

All invited umpires must organize their own transport to the region as well as travel and medical insurance.

In addition, all invited umpires are responsible for early arrival and late departure.

Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details when submitting the nomination (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport). A letter of invitation will be provided.

Umpires must wear the International umpiring uniforms as described in the Handbook for Match Officials.

The closing date for nominations is Monday 12th February. The list of umpires accepted will be advised on or before Wednesday 28th February.

All selected umpires must arrive no later than Saturday 28th April in order to attend a meeting with the Referee.

Nominations should be submitted by using the following google link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1F9_vfMCiV3ATvd2hUPnUP23leS1OosfFI31wSWMD1FU/viewform?edit_requested=true
