Success over surprise semi-finalist, the host association’s Pau Yik Man (12-10, 6-11, 12-10, 11-9); in the final Tiago Li, the no.3 seed accounted for Nikhil Kumar of the United States, the no.5 seed, (12-10, 11-8, 11-8) to arrest the title.

In the counterpart semi-final, in a similar manner to that of Tiago Li, Nikhil Kumar had ended Hong Kong hopes; he accounted for Lau Chun Kit, the no.5 seed (11-7, 11-8, 11-6).

Gold for Portugal in the Cadet Boys’ Singles event; in the counterpart Cadet Boys’ Doubles competition, it was the top step of the podium for Singapore.

Baldwin Chan Ho Wah and Chan Yee Shun, the no.6 seeds, emerged successful, causing upsets at both the semi-final and final stages, as rivals from Hong Kong were put the sword. In the penultimate round they beat Maurice Chong Kai Ning and Yiu Kwan To, the top seeds, in five games duel (11-8, 11-5, 9-11, 2-11, 11-3), before overcoming Lau Chun Kit and Wong Hon Lam, the no.2 seeds in straight games (11-6, 12-10, 11-9) to claim the top prize.

Victory in the final for Baldwin Chan Ho Wah and Chan Yee Shun, it was to some extent revenge. In the corresponding penultimate round duel, Lau Chun Kit and Wong Hon Lam had beaten Pang Yew En Koen and Andy Wong Yan Kai in a closely contested full distance contest (7-11, 11-5, 11-5, 7-11, 11-8).
