As if winning the World Championship was not enough to have that status!
This week he added another feat to his kitty, graduating from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a degree in Economics and Management!
The champion dragon completed his degree in a span of six years, due to his busy schedule. The two-time World Champion and Olympic Games gold medallist graduated on Friday 9th June 2017.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China, which also had former table tennis stars as students including Liu Guoliang, Qin Zhijian, Wang Liqin and Xu Xin.
Ma Long’s thesis was about marketing strategies for the Chinese Super League.
In his conclusion, Ma Long listed four points that will help improve the growth of the Chinese Super League: to clarify the property rights; improve commercialization and marketing; partner with sponsors; make the matches more interactive, spectacular and entertaining.
