Arguably the spotlight match of Day Seven is the encounter between Ding Ning and Zhu Yuling, as the two Chinese competitors fight it out in the Women’s Singles final.

Both players have performed exceptionally well so far in Düsseldorf and while the top seed Ding Ning will head into the match expecting to hold the slight edge over her opponent, there will be a sense of optimism from Zhu Yuling following her powerful victory over the second seed Liu Shiwen in the last four.

Who will win the race to lift the Women’s Singles trophy? This is one match you won’t want to miss!

The other final set to take place comes in the Men’s Doubles tournament, as the Japanese pairing of Masataka Morizono and Yuya Oshima meet the mighty Chinese partnership of Fan Zhendong and Xu Xin.

There are plenty of reasons to be excited for this showdown especially following impressive displays from both the first seeded and third seeded combinations in the semi-finals, and both teams have fully deserved to reach the final.

However, only one partnership can claim the crown so you can be sure to expect dramatic high-paced action throughout the tie.

We have a pretty big match on our hands in the Men’s Singles quarter-finals as the host nation’s Timo Boll goes head-to-head with the defending World and Olympic champion Ma Long on Day Seven.

The two players formed an all-star partnership in the Men’s Doubles event, but friends will become rivals in the Men’s Singles last eight as the two contestants face one another.

Germany’s Timo Boll has been performing well on the international scene over the past couple of months and will have the added boost of the home crowd backing him, but Ma Long is also a popular player in the eyes of the Düsseldorf crowd and will be feeling confident about his chances of reaching the semi-finals.
