The Women's Championships Division qualifying match for the Liebherr 2017 ITTF European Championships between Wales and Kosovo has been postponed once again after the visitors encountered travel problems ahead of the tie.

Wales and Kosovo were rescheduled to meet on Tuesday 28th March after the match had originally been delayed due to visa issues.

However, there were yet more problems for the visitors with travel arrangement issues standing in the way again, leaving no other option but to postpone the tie once again.

The previous encounter between the two countries saw Wales register a comfortable 0-3 away victory in Kosovo, but there has been great difficulty in trying to get the return match at the Cardiff Sport Wales National Centre off the ground.

Chairman of Table Tennis Wales Bernard Carter stated in a BBC Sport report that while he is upset about the news he is confident that the match will take place.

“It is disappointing. It’s frustrating, a real mess-up to be honest, it’s difficult to rearrange these fixtures, but we are determined it will go ahead in the future,” Bernard Carter.

Austria have already claimed top spot in Group F with Wales and Kosovo occupying second and third places respectively.

The qualifying match between Wales and Kosovo has been moved to a preliminary date of Thursday 30th March.
