Brazil’s Lethicia Lacerda, Danielle Rauen and Gustavo Laskosky; Chile’s Matias Pino and Alvaro Vega, alongside Argentina’s Elias Romero and Colombia’s Manuela Guapi all left with gold medals in both individual and team events.

Manuela Guapi, winner of the Women’s Singles Class 3-4 title, partnered colleague Sara Leon to victory in Women’s Team Class 1-5; the pair finishing ahead of the Brazilian outfit who selected from Camila Dos Santos, Maria de Freitas and Raiza da Silva.

Similarly, in the Women’s events, Lethicia Lacerda and Danielle Rauen added to their golden tally. Apart Lethicia Lacerda had won Women’s Singles Class 7-8, Danielle Rauen had secured the top prize in Class 9-10. Together they won the Class 6-10 Team competition recording a two-nil win over Argentina’s Juliana Frutos and Aylen Schevintt in the final.

Meanwhile, in the Men’s events, Elias Romero the winner of Class 5 in the individual events, enjoyed success in harness with colleague, Mauro Diebe; the duo secured the top prize in Men’s Team Class 1-5. In a group competition the pair finished ahead of Colombia’s Alejandro Gomez and Andres Orjuela; notably earlier in the proceedings, Alejandro Gomez had won the Class 1-4 singles title.

Similarly, after in the individual events winning Class 7, partnering compatriot Paulo Fonseca, Gustavo Laskosky claimed the Men’s Team Class 6-7 title; the pairing recording a two matches to one win over Costa Rica’s Hernan Rojas and Steven Roman in the final.

Impressive from Gustavo Laskosky but pride of place must go to Matias Pino, the winner of the Men’s Singles Class 6 title.

The lower the number, the more severe the disability; competing against players of a lesser disability, he partnered Chilean colleague, Marcelo Saavedra to gold in Men’s Team Class 8. In the title decider, the duo accounted for Argentina’s Aleksy Kaniuka and Luciano Medina.

Double gold for Chile and in the guise of Alvaro Vega, the winner of Men’s Singles Class 10; that feat was repeated. He concluded matters with success in Men’s Team Class 9-10 in harness with Manuel Echaveguren; the pair overcoming Mexico’s Miguel Vazquez and Martin Morales by two matches to nil in the final.
