Proceedings in Shenzhen commence on Friday 3rd March and conclude on Monday 13th March.

It is anticipated that the likes of Ma Long, Fan Zhendong, Xu Xin and Zhang Jike will be present as will Ding Ning, Liu Shiwen and Zhu Yuling.

They will compete in a tournament based on the round robin formula, the winner gaining selection, the remaining players then competing in groups, from those groups the remaining places will be decided.

Intense competition amongst the world’s very best player will be the order of the day for an event that is being promoted by Tencent Sports. Tencent has the biggest online media platform in China and is an official partner of Chinese Olympic Committee.
