The capital and largest city in Chile, Santiago was the recent home for an ITTF Level Two Coach Education Course; proceedings commenced on Tuesday 22nd November and concluded on Sunday 27th November.

Organised under auspices of the ITTF Development Programme and with the support of Olympic Solidarity, the expert on duty was Venezuela’s Francisco Seijas.

Coaches travelled from throughout the country to attend; the advice given by Francisco Seijas being warmly received and greatly appreciated.

Notably it was the fifth course to be organised this year in Chile under the umbrella of the ITTF Development Programme.

“We are very happy for having this ITTF Level Two Course Chile. After these six days, we will have new ITTF Level Two coaches prepared for top level table tennis”, Henry Reimberg, President Chilean Table Tennis Federation.

At the beginning of the year, the host nation’s José Luis Urrita had conducted and ITTF/PTT Level One Course, before in October completing a second such initiative.

Meanwhile, Luisana Perez, a pupil of Francisco Seijas had been present in July to lead a National Hopes Week.

Further ITTF/PTT Level One Course under the guidance of José Luis Urrita are planned for early December and early January.

The coaches who attended the ITTF Level Two Course travelled from Calle Calle, Chillan, Chillan Viejo, Conchali, Iquique, La Pintana, Nancagua, Talca, Valparaiso, Angelina, Melipilla Unido, San Miguel, Temuco, La Cisterna and Macul.
