Wojciech Waldowski has been re-appointed President of the Polish Table Tennis Association after gaining the majority of the votes in the second round of the election.

The election was held on Sunday 23rd October in Warsaw with five candidates making the round one ballot paper for the position of President.

Waldemar Moska claimed the highest number of votes in the opening round of the election (37) with Wojciech Waldowski trailing by a single point (36). Leszek Kucharski (18), Ireneusz Kanabrodzki (2) and Dariusz Kiełb (0) were the three other candidates for the role.

The two candidates with the highest number of votes then proceeded to a second round of voting; Wojciech Waldowski was awarded 51 votes opposed to Waldemar Moska’s 42 to complete the process, with Wojciech Waldowski being re-elected as President of the Polish Table Tennis Association.

Board and Committee Positions Filled

There were also Board Member and Audit Committee seats to be decided at the election.

Ten Board Members were elected: Dariusz Szumacher (57 votes), Zbigniew Leszczyński (42), Kamil Dziukiewicz (42), Piotr Anchim (41), Marek Zalewski (38), Tadeusz Nowak (36), Michał Napierała (35), Grzegorz Kielar (35), Andrzej Hrehorowicz (33) and Sebastian Jagiełowicz (33).

Marek Kibała received the most votes in the election for the Audit Committee (34) while Robert Janus (32), Marian Żak (29), Sławomir Maciąg (28) and Tadeusz Czułno (27) were also appointed.

The elected candidates will serve a four-year term ending in 2020.
