The competition in the 2016 Chinese Super League gets more challenging in every round. Today, as the league had its third round, Ding Ning and the rest of the Beijing Team experienced defeat. Meanwhile, Shandong Luneng quickly recovered from their loss in the previous round.

The Beijing Team maintained a positive record in the first two rounds of the 2016 Chinese Super League. Today, they had the opportunity to make it three victories in a row as they played in their own court.

However, their guests, Shandong Jilu came equipped in the battle against the hosts. The opening match went to Jilu after Wen Jia scored 3-0 against Sheng Dandan. Ding Ning was able to level her team in the second match with a sweeping win as well against Wu Yang.

This time, the team had a change in their lineup. Ding Ning immediately returned into the arena for the Doubles. Together with Li Jiayuan, Ding Ning lost the third match.

At this point, the result depended on Beijing’s Sheng Dandan and Jilu’s Wu Yang. In four games, Wu Yang sealed the third consecutive victory for Jilu (11-8, 12-10, 9-11, 11-5).

Meanwhile, Shandong Luneng, who got defeated in the previous round, was able to quickly recover today. They played as guests against Shanxi.

Luneng got the opening match easily with their player Fan Siqi sweeping Guo Yichen. In the second match, the host, Che Xiaoxi, made an upset against Zhu Yuling. She defeated Zhu Yuling in 8-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-4, 7-2.

The guest team established their lead in the Doubles. Gu Yuting and Liu Ming won with a 2-1 score. Zhu Yuling then played in the fourth match against Guo Yichen. This time, the team leader of Luneng got the victory in 3-1.

The past two rounds were not very successful for the Jilin Team. However, today, it was different. They played as guests against Sichuan and posted a sweeping win of 3-0.

Aside from Shandong Jilu Team, Bayi also has maintained an undefeated status until the third round. Today, Mu Zi and company upset the hosts  Anxin in 3-1. Mu Zi defeated Liu Shiwen in the fourth match in 7-11, 11-4, 11-9, 3-11, 5-7.

The last victorious team for the third round is Shenzhen. Chen Meng started the battle with a nice sweep against Miu Hirano. That eventually set a positive tone for the hosts against Ordos. It is their first victory recorded this season.
