A splendid setting in Riocentro Pavilion 3, with the state-of-the art Infinity table supplied by the Japanese manufacture San-Ei at the very centre of proceedings, was a magnificent sight to behold at both the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and the more recent Paralympic Games.

Both the spectacle and the quality of the table was acclaimed by all involved; there were no dissenting voices.

Now can look forward to the same level of excellence four years hence; San-Ei has signed as the official table supplier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

“All of us at San-Ei are proud to be selected as the official table supplier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, after the success of the Rio 2016 Games”, said Shin Miura, the President of the San-Ei Company. “As was the case in Rio 2016, the table that we will supply in Tokyo 2020 will be highly tuned for performance and be visually spectacular; we promise to go past infinity!”

Tokyo in 2020 will have a very special significance for San-Ei; their brand will be on view in their own country at the biggest sporting gathering on planet earth.

“San-Ei will forever be part of table history, after the iconic table at Rio 2016 which we love; the ITTF is very pleased to be continuing this fruitful partnership”, added Thomas Weikert, ITTF President. “I can’t wait to see the table that San-Ei will create for Tokyo 2020 to again portray our sport in the best possible light to the world.”

The deal was brokered by TMS International, the current marketing partner of the International Table Tennis Federation.
