September 14th marked the opening of the 2016 ITTF World Tour SheSays China Open, as three of the six categories featured match play.

The Men’s Singles event doesn’t begin until Friday, so Ma Long and Xu Xin decided to get some lobbing practice in against Fan Zhendong and Fang Bo.

First up for Ma and Xu in the Singles category are Malaysian opponents Leong Chee Feng and Choong Javen, while Fan and Fang take on Yeh Chih-Wei (Chinese Taipei) and Kevin Soto (Guatemala) respectively.

Ding Ning also took the opportunity to get her eye in ahead of her tie against Li Yu-Jhun of Chinese Taipei, and is looking strong on the table.
