Social media has revolutionized the way professional athletes connect with fans. By engaging fans via social media, table tennis athletes are communicating with fans on a more personal level, breaking all geographical boundaries as Table Tennis goes global.

The latest athlete to join Facebook is the current World No 3, Xu Xin. The 26-year old Chinese sensation has been posting pictures of his life beyond the table tennis court and seems to be loving it. His presence on Facebook, especially gives a chance to the non Chinese fans to get to know more about the life of the Rio Olympics gold medalist.
