As we enter July, the ITTF wishes to provide an update on steps taken to address the unprecedented suspension of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and its reconvening.

Given the complexity of this situation, the ITTF engaged a leading law firm to ensure the continuation of the AGM is managed in full compliance with ITTF statutes and Swiss law, where the federation is headquartered. The date and details of the AGM’s continuation will be announced as soon as possible.

While resolving this matter as our highest priority, ITTF remains focused on delivering the strategic plan and objectives entrusted to management.

The Federation’s activities over the month of June are a testament to the ITTF’s full operational commitment.

Preparations for the ITTF Centenary World Championships Finals London 2026 continue, with successful qualifications celebrated at the ITTF Oceania Championships Christchurch 2025. Congratulations to Australia, Cook Islands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, and Tahiti. Regional Championships and a recent London site inspection are reinforcing efforts for an outstanding World Championships.

We have announced and start to prepare for future World Championships, 2027 in Astana, Kazakhstan, 2028 in Fukuoka, Japan, and 2029 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

The administration has also begun reviewing the propositions and resolutions approved before the AGM suspension and will soon implement these important decisions.

Development programmes have progressed strongly, with training camps and participation initiatives across Africa, the Americas, and Asia. The ITTF Europe Hopes Camp in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, was also a success.

World Table Tennis (WTT) events have delivered exciting action, with the WTT Star Contender in Ljubljana and WTT Contenders in Skopje and Zagreb. The second half of 2025 promises a whole lot of high-level WTT events, ensuring that table tennis as a sport continues to stay at the forefront in the hearts and minds of our fans and the media. Preparations are underway for the inaugural Smash events in the Americas and Europe, in Las Vegas and Malmo respectively. The launch of WTT India marks a significant step in unlocking India’s table tennis potential.

Additionally, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) to enhance athlete support, beginning with the World Youth Championships Cluj-Napoca 2025, which is now less than 150 days away.

Emerging Para table tennis players competed successfully in three World Para Future events in June across Chile, Czechia, and Chinese Taipei, showcasing the revitalised ITTF World Para Circuit which continue to see many events across the year.

The ITTF Foundation also released the inspiring after-movie for World Table Tennis Day 2025, celebrating 845 events across 146 Member Associations and the global passion for our sport and continues to deliver on its projects.

We appreciate the support of our members and stakeholders. Your continued collaboration is essential as we work together to advance table tennis globally.
