A highly creditable fourth place at last year’s ITTF Africa Cup in Lagos, in 2018 the junior girls’ singles winner at the Arab Championships; Fadwa Garci very much carries the hopes of the host nation at the forthcoming 2020 ITTF Africa Top 16 Cup.

Play starts in Tunis on Monday 24th February.

The 18 year old is Tunisia’s leading female player; she is ready for the quite daunting challenge that awaits.

“I hope to play and give my best despite the fact that this competition is not easy, I will try to do everything, try my best to make my country proud at home.

This is my first time of competing in the tournament and I am looking forward to a good result just like I did very well at the 2019 Africa Cup in Lagos.

My objective in the competition is to make is the podium and offer an honourable result to my dear country.

I am hoping for support from the home fans because I have always enjoyed their support; their support most times motivates and gives me the needed courage to face any opponent regardless of their pedigree. I hope this will be helpful again this year.

Wearing the colours of Tunisia means that the responsibility is higher and higher, it is with passion and love to honour my country and take the nation to the top.”
