The goal a place in the main draw, finish in first place in the initial stage group and the target set was achieved; such was the scenario on the concluding day of qualification, Thursday 8th August, at the 2019 ITTF Challenge Nigeria Open in Lagos.

Notable names from foreign shore made their presence felt; players who could well cause prominent names food for thought later in proceedings.

Men’s Singles

Women’s Singles

…………Katia Kessaci topped her group to keep Algerian hopes alive

…………Simeen Mookrey flew the flag for South Africa, she finished in first place in her group

…………India’s Diya Parag Chitale and Pooja Sahasrabudhe ended the day unbeaten

…………Egypt enjoyed notable success, Mariam Alhodaby and Sarah Abousetta secured top spots.

Under 21 Men’s Singles

…………Belgium’s Laurens Devos, Iran’s Amir Hossein Hodaei and Egypt’s Youssef Abdel-Aziz alongside the host nation’s Azeez Solanke emerged the group winners

Under 21 Women’s Singles

…………First places finished in the hands of Romania’s Andreea Dragoman, Egypt’s Marwa Alhodaby and India’s Diya Parag Chitale
