Joining Georgina Pota as a seed in the category is Dora Madarasz, seeded 16th, who is seeking to secure a top 16 finish at the tournament for the first time in her career.
Under 21 Men’s Singles silver medallist last year, in 2019 Bence Majoros has the chance to show off his qualities as a seeded competitor at senior level.
Just 21 years of age, Bence Majoros is the only Hungarian who won’t be required to compete in the Men’s Singles qualification rounds in Budapest and with the backing of the home crowd who knows what awaits the no.16 seed?
For the first time Mixed Doubles action will be played out at the Hungarian Open – seeded eighth, Adam Szudi and Szandra Pergel have been awarded a spot in the competition proper and the opportunity to become the first partnership from the European continent to lift the Mixed Doubles trophy on the World Tour.
Adam Szudi will also make an appearance in the Men’s Doubles draw where he and Nandor Ecseki will occupy the no.7 spot on the seeding list while Georgina Pota will represent the host nation in the Women’s Doubles event, forming the no.6 seeded pair with long-time doubles partner Sweden’s Matilda Ekholm.
