It is the teenager’s first appearance in the tournament and she has set a definitive goal.

“For now I am now 50 per cent ready for the tournament but before the competition I am sure I will be fully ready for the Kenyan contest. I hope I can get to the quarter-final of the competition. Apart from my personal target, I think that Tunisia can make it to the podium.”

My target is to try and win tough matches particularly against top rated players. I hope to enjoy every moment of the competition in Kenya.” Abir Haj Salah

Presently Abir Haj Salah is listed at no.480 on the Women’s World Rankings, colleague Safa Saidani is at no.1080.
