Poland has two representatives remaining in the Women’s Singles competition, both of whom face tricky fixtures in the third round.

Natalia Partyka will be hoping that the home crowd can lift her to victory as she takes on Hong Kong’s Doo Hoi Kem, who is seeded fourth for the event, while the other host nation competitor Li Qian meets Japan’s Miyu Maeda.

One of the big Day One upsets came courtesy of Ma Wenting with the Norwegian contestant claiming a shock win against the 11th seeded player Viktoria Pavlovich.

Next up the no.24 seed will go head-to-head with third seed Miyu Kato, but can Ma Wenting defy the odds yet again and leave the Japanese star disappointed?

Qualifier Niagol Stoyanov has enjoyed a terrific Men’s Singles campaign so far in Czestochowa, with the Italian securing victories in his opening two encounters against fifth seed Jiang Tianyi of Hong Kong and French player Alexandre Cassin.

Sathiyan Gnanasekaran provides the opposition for Niagol Stoyanov in the Round of 16, and the question is whether or not the Indian competitor can prevent the unseeded qualifier from progressing through to the next round?

English table tennis fans will be delighted to see both Liam Pitchford and Samuel Walker in action on the second day of Men’s Singles main draw with fixtures against Quentin Robinot and Alexey Liventsov of France and Russia respectively, while the match between Kazakhstan’s Kirill Gerassimenko and Spain’s Álvaro Robles is definitely worth keeping a close eye on.

The Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles competitions will feature two rounds of action as partnerships aim to book their places in the finals, and the first trophies will be handed out on day two as both the Under 21 Men’s Singles and Under 21 Women’s Singles categories draw to a conclusion.
