Intense play on day three made it hard to choose the Point of Day 3 here at the World Tour Grand Finals in Doha, Qatar. But one of many stood out- this one in the men’s singles quarter finals between Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Fan Zhendong, Ovtcharov leading 2:0 in the tie and 3:2 in the third game.

The point starts with Fan Zhendong surprising Ovtcharov with a long reverse spin serve on to his backhand disturbing his balance. But he manages his calm and then the rally moves to thunderous topspin to topspin exchanges all over the table between the two. After a couple to those unbelievable shots, Fan Zhendong misses his backhand topspin, thus giving away the point to Ovtcharov.
