Making her debut in the Commonwealth Games earlier this year, for Akanisi Latu, it was a whole new experience.

However, it was more than just another player making a debut; at 64 years of age, in Birmingham she was the oldest competitor in the table tennis events. Often known as the “Friendly Games”; certainly, when age was considered the multi-sport event lived up to its billing.
