In 2004, Mr Ho became President of the Fiji Table Tennis Association and a member of the Oceania Table Tennis Management Committee; soon after in 2005 he was elected a member of the ITTF Board of Directors.

Later, following the election of James Morris to the position of ITTF Executive Vice President in 2017, Mr Ho, as Deputy President, was appointed President of ITTF-Oceania. He was then elected as President at the ITTF-Oceania Annual General Meeting in August 2020 for another four year term.

Notably, he enjoyed a successful playing career, winning ten national men’s singles titles.

Internationally, he competed in the Pacific Games, Oceania Championships and the 1991 World Championships.

Commencing in teenage years, Mr Anthony Ho was dedicated to the sport of table tennis; recently his efforts were recognised.

Just under one year ago in October 2020, at the Fiji 50th Independence Anniversary celebration, he was one of 30 recipients of the Independence Medal. The award was made to individuals who had made an impact on socio-economic progress and inclusivity among the community since the independence of Fiji in 1970. He received the award from Fijian President Jioji Konrote.

An icon in table tennis, Mr Ho was instrumental in developing the sport for decades.

He will be sadly missed, our sincere condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in eternal peace.
