Throughout 2018 the Table Tennis Federation of India enjoyed unprecedented success, notably at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and at Asian Championships.

Aiming to build on that success, a foreign coach for the development of senior and youth players is sought.

The post is offered under the jurisdiction of the Sports Authority of India, an autonomous body under the control of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Department of Sports, alongside the Government of India.

Qualifications

…………Able to communicate in English

………..Physically fit, able to demonstrate techniques to players during training

………..Under the age of 65 years of age; in exceptional cases, the Sports Authority of India may appoint based on the credentials of the applicant if older

Experience

…………Experience of playing at national level in such events as Asian and European Championships, World Championships or Olympic Games

…………Coached senior or youth teams in the past three years that have won medals at such events as Asian and European Championships or Commonwealth Games in a three to five year period

…………Developed players who have won medals at major international tournaments such as Olympic Games, World Championships, World Cups, Asian Games

Salary

…………Salary will be commensurate with international standards and based on experience, qualifications and proven track record

Tenure

…………Period of employment is for a one year renewable following a performance review.

Accountability

…………Specific tasks and targets will be set during the period of employment

…………Services may be required in any part of the country as required by the Sports Authority of India and the Table Tennis Federation of India must be met
