The Seamaster 2018 ITTF World Tour Hungarian Open commenced the calendar, it will do the same in 2019. Once again a high level of play will on view in what is now a well-established event on the international calendar; overall the tournament will commence on Tuesday 15th January and will conclude on Sunday 20th January.

Staged in Budapest, during the proceedings and Advanced Umpires Training Course followed by an Advanced Rules Examination and Evaluation will be staged.

It is an open invitation to be present at what will be the eighth edition of the tournament as a member of the ITTF World Tour; the event was first stage in 2010 in Budaors, before two years later, Budapest being the home. Once again in 2012, the capital city was the destination, prior to 2014 when Szombathely played host; organized every year since 2015, Budapest has always been the destination.

All potential candidates must meet all relevant costs and fees and are required to organize their own transport to the region as well as travel and medical insurance; the local airport is Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (IATA Code : BUD) situated some 10 miles from the city centre.

Should a nominated umpire require a visa, kindly send relevant details when submitting the nomination (full name as in passport, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, expiry date of passport). At the discretion of the Hungarian Table Tennis Association, a letter of invitation will be provided. All related costs are the responsibility of the applicant; the issuance of a visa being dependent entirely on the relevant embassy or consulate.

Closing date for nominations is Saturday 17th November.
