Organized by Halmstad University, the Science and Practice of Racket Sports for Improved Performance and Health Conference will be staged from Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th April immediately prior to the Liebherr 2018 World Team Championships which commence on Sunday 28th April.

The closing date for registration is Thursday 15th March.

A detailed itinerary is in place with most significantly the host city’s Jörgen Persson, winner of the Men’s Singles title at the 1991 World Championships being one of the guest speakers; in addition colleague Johan Falby, a former member of the Swedish team in the same era as Jörgen Persson, will address the conference.

Likewise, members of the ITTF Sports Science and Medical Committee, both past and present will present lectures. Irene Faver and Tsun Ming-Hing will both be present.

In a similar vein, Anders Nelson, the Deputy Vice Chancellor at Halmstad University, an Associate Professor of Educational Sciences will attend as will Daniel Ellerman, the Swedish National Team Para Table Tennis Coach.

Meanwhile from the sport of badminton, Mads Brink Hansen, a member of the Danish Elite Sports Institute, will also be one of the speakers.

Leading proceedings and summarising will be Professor Miran Kondric, the Chair of the ITTF Sports Science and Medical Committee.
