In the Under 11 Boys’ Team event, the Paraguay ‘A’ Team duo of Nicolas Ayala and Axel Bertolo finished in second place in their group behind the Guatemalan combination of Ricardo Gatica and Andy Moscoso.

Meanwhile, in the Under 13 Boys’ Team competition, it was one step higher for the Paraguay ‘A’ Team combination of Elias Apud and Gaston di Mena; they finished in top place with Guatemala’s Diego de la Cruz and Luis Ton in runners up spot.

Main draw places for the Paraguayan boys; the door is still open for the girls but good performances are needed. In both the Under 11 Girls’ Team and Under 13 Girls’ Team events, one series of fixtures remains.

In the Under 11 Girls’ Team event, the Paraguay ‘B’ pairing of Amira Godoy and Paula Valdez experienced a three-nil defeat at the hands of Guatemala’s Jenny Crux and Kimberly Garcia, a pair in form. Additionally, they accounted for the Brazil ‘B’ combination Maria Chiquetto and Beatriz Fiore to secure first place in the group. Paraguay ‘B’ meets Brazil ‘B’ to determine first place in the group.

Likewise, in the Under 13 Girls’ Team event, there is still hope for the Paraguay partnership of Rebeca Cuenca and Lourdes Saavedra. They experienced a three-nil defeat at the hands of Mexico ‘A’ represented by Arantxa Cossio and Pilar Alvarado and now meet the Peru ‘A’ pairing of Ana Aragon and Maria Maldonado.

Notably, Ana Aragon and Maria Maldonado experienced a three-two defeat at the hands of Rebeca Cuenca and Lourdes Saavedra.
Play in the team events concludes on Wednesday 27th September.
