In front of an absolutely packed Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong, WANG Nan of China made it look easy in capturing the 2003 Volkswagen Women's World Cup title.

ZHANG Yining (China) in the semi-final had no real chance and in the final, NIU Jinfeng, also of China, was dealt the same treatment from the razor sharp WANG Nan.

World Champion WANG Nan was back to normal and looked very sharp and focused when beating TIE Yana by four games to one.


WANG Nan's "over the table" game was superb and TIE Yana simply could nor counter WANG Nan's quick topspins from both backhand and forehand.
