Petra Sörling, ITTF Executive Vice President recently enjoyed a very pleasant evening in the company of Swedish table tennis stars Jan-Ove Waldner and Mikael Appelgren plus non other than American film star Susan Sarandon.
A mark of the status of Susan Sarandon is that she appears in the world famous wax museum, Madame Tussauds in London alongside other stars of stage, screen and life in general. certainly an appearance in Madame Tussauds means you have really arrived! |

The ITTF Development Programme and ITTF Scholarships have had a massive impact on coaching and junior development in the region. Therefore, to endorse these efforts a three day Marketing Course was held from Tuesday 17th to Friday 20th November 2009.

Role Reversal of Previous Evening for Japanese Stars

Japan’s Seiya Kishikawa and Jun Mizutani had experienced contrasting fortunes on the evening of Thursday 19th November at the Asian Championships in Lucknow.
The former had recorded a memorable victory over Ma Long in the final of the Men’s Team event against China; the latter had suffered excruciating pain losing to Xu Xin.
One day later, in the third round of the Men’s Singles event it was role reversal but not in quite such dramatic circumstances.
Pain and pleasure were both experienced.
